Pray as a group that God would use your group to show His love and kindness to the people you meet today. The purpose of the Streetwalk is to answer the question, “Why are people experiencing homelessness and poverty in North America today?” They will touch on the issues connected with the answer to this question such as mental health, addictions, government policy, housing shortages, social assistance, and more. Based in the urban core of Toronto, Ejay brings years of experience working with countless marginalized youth and young adults, journeying with some to help them better their housing, employment and education situations. Poverty and injustice are very visible in Toronto’s urban core. Every day, the rich, the poor, and the middle class interact and intersect, unaware that each belongs to the other. Theme: Our theme today is LISTENING. Ask Jesus to help you to LISTEN to people the way HE LISTENS to you….with patience and understanding. Seek to really hear the needs of the people you come in contact with today. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved. Pray as a group that God would use you to show His love and kindness to the people you come in contact with today. Ask Jesus to give you wisdom and courage today as you SHARE and interact with others. Pray that God would prepare the way for you to have real conversations about faith with people who you meet today. Sometimes we share through your actions, like earlier in the week, today you may have the chance to share your story of faith and the truth of the GOSPEL with people…take every opportunity! Pray as a group that God would use your group to speak truth and life into the people you meet today. Some may be believers, others might not, but don’t be afraid to engage people in conversation. It might be as simple as asking someone how you can pray for them!
