Afternoon Experience Instructions: Today half of your group will be going to the Dorset Park Community Hub. They are a place where everyone has equal access to a wide range of services and that are crucial towards the community that anchors towards food banks and many other services.

Please make sure to bring your water bottles and proper footwear for today.

Theme: Our theme today is SEEING others the way God sees them. As you learn about those who may feel the effects of marginalization and be looked down upon by others, ask Jesus to help you SEE others the way HE SEES them…as dearly loved and valued!

Pray as a group that God would use you to show His love and kindness to the people you come in contact with today. Some may be believers, others may not, but don’t be afraid to engage people in conversation.

Afternoon Experience: Today you will be at the Loft Kitchen's with Jena. Loft Kitchens. Loft Kitchen is a multi-service space which provides essential services to vulnerable children, youth, and adults. During this afternoon experience you will be undertaking neighbourhood surveys, gardening, handing out flyers, and assisting with kitchen prep. You will be sorting, packing or distributing food items towards families and/or individuals that are facing food insecurity.

Theme: Our theme today is LISTENING. Ask Jesus to help you to LISTEN to people the way HE LISTENS to you….with patience and understanding. Seek to really hear the needs of the people you come in contact with today.

Pray as a group that God would use your group to show His love and kindness to the people you meet today. Some may be believers, others might not, but don’t be afraid to engage people in conversation as you serve alongside each other.

Please make sure to bring your water bottles, extra clothes and/or wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and proper footwear for your afternoon experience today. Have a great afternoon, and don’t forget to get together and debrief after your time at the Loft Kitchen.

Afternoon Experience Instructions: Today you will be sharing the good news of the Gospel with people in Pickering. Pickering City Centre is an indoor mall located in the Durham Region and has many different stores. Enjoy listening to the many different people you will meet, and sharing your faith with them. Strike up a conversation and share the love of Christ!

Theme: Our theme today is SHARING. Sharing our faith means first sharing our lives and investing in the lives of others too; authentically caring for them. Ask Jesus to give you wisdom and courage today as you SHARE and interact with others. Pray that God would prepare the way for you to have real conversations about faith with people who you meet today. Sometimes we share through your actions, like earlier in the week, today you may have the chance to share your story of faith and the truth of the GOSPEL with people…take every opportunity!

Pray as a group that God would use your group to speak truth and life into the people you meet today. Some may be believers, others might not, but don’t be afraid to engage people in conversation. It might be as simple as asking someone how you can pray for them!
